Late night Fiberglassing

Did some fiberglassing on the central hull/cabin last night. The outside temperature was in the low 60's, and it was geting dark as the sun was going down. All this made me hurry the process and I think that I didn't put enough catalyst in the mixes. I mix up a small portion at a time and then brush it on and apply the cloth and smooth it out imbedding it into the gel. It seemed that the mixture was extremely thick, like hunny, and was hard to work with. I wasn't sure if I covered the cloth enough and if it will all run off the vertical surfaces before it sets.
I checked it this morning and it appears to be setting. There are areas that are still tacky to the touch, but it looks like all the cloth got imbedded. Next time I fiberglass, I'll have to be sure to fill in the gaps where the cloth didn't overlap from piece to piece. This should take care of iself as I'm doing two or three layers on the upper cabin and five to six on the hull.
I have ordered some resin from Jamestown Distributors in Rhode Island. It costs me $19.99 per gallon which is the best price I've seen anywhere for polyester resin, but the shipping is 10 bucks. Even with the shipping though, it is still less than I can buy it here. $31.95 per gallon locally. I could probably get a better price if I could find a place to buy it from here in bulk. Some place like Jamestown Distributors. Us Composites and the Fiberglass Warehouse on the internet are more expensive and the shipping is the same.
My next shipment of two gallons is to arrive on Dec 5.
